Racine – Betty Lou Heiser, 87, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was born in Wauwatosa on February 15, 1930, daughter of the late Clarence and Coryll (nee: Anderson) Hansen. She was a Racine area resident for most of her life.

Betty was employed at the southern Wisconsin Center where she worked as a certified nursing assistant for more than 25 years until she retired in 1995. She was very creative and enjoyed knitting and crochet; and a variety of crafts including ceramics and tole painting. She also enjoyed swimming camping and traveling.

Betty is survived by her children, Gale Vega of Kansasville, Tom Heiser, and Candy Fell both of Racine; grandchildren, Kristene (Robert) Christensen of Kansasville, and Alyssa Fell of Racine; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Derrick, and Evan; as well as other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 6:00pm. All are invited to visit with the family from 4:30pm until the start of the service.
