Beverly Lynn Harris

Jun 28, 1944 – Mar 26, 2007

Beverly Lynn Harris, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints Hospital. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 28, 1944, daughter of the late Erie and Margaret (nee: McKay) Harris. Most of her life she had lived in Racine.

Beverly will be remembered for the way she cared for others. Always smiling, she was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her caring and nurturing ways were demonstrated through her work as a nurse’s aid, and day care provider. Beverly’s world revolved around her family, whom she held so dear. She was a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ.

The memory of Beverly will be cherished by her children, Carla (Kevin Timmons) Harris, and Todd (Monica) Harris, both of Kentwood, Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Tashawna House of Kalamazoo, Devina Crockett, Todd Harris, Jr., and Tyler Harris all of Kentwood; 1 great granddaughter, Madison Harris; 2 sisters, Clara Bridgeman, and Dolores McConnell both of Racine; 1 brother, Alan (Mildred) Harris of grand Rapids, Michigan; her very special nieces and nephews, Zella Williams, Curtis Bridgeman, Patricia Kelly, Tiffany Harris, Brande Harris and Pamela Martin; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence H. Harris and Edward Harris; sisters, Brenda Harris and Kay Jones; and dear aunt, Edna Burnette.

Homegoing services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007 the Midtown Church of Christ (1704 13th Street), with Brother Sylvester Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Rest in peace, Sweet Mother you have touched many lives in countless ways. Can’t wait to see you again.
