Brenda J. Harris

Brenda J. Harris RACINE – Mrs. Brenda J. Harris, 58, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 28, 1947 to the late Erie and Margaret (nee: McKay) Harris. Brenda graduated from Central High School in Kalamazoo. After moving to Wisconsin she started her employment at Wisconsin Bell. Brenda eventually retired, due to her health, from High Ridge Care Center after many years as a nursing assistant. She was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ. Her survivors include her loving daughters, Tiffany and Brandee Harris of Racine; grandchildren, Raven Harris, Braneea Milton; sisters and brother, Dolores McConnell, Clara Bridgeman, Beverly Harris all of Racine, Allen (Mildred) Harris of Grand Rapids, MI; niece, Zella Jeanette Williams of Racine, Carla Harris of Grand Rapids, MI; goddaughters, Janice Lott, Tiffany Stevenson both of Racine, Tonette Miller of Champagne, Ill; and many other special nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Harris; brothers, Edward and Lawrence Harris, her sister, Kay M. Jones; her grandparents, Edgar and Clara Etta McKay and her aunts, Edna Burnett, who raised Brenda after her parents death and Doreen McKay. Family and friends are invited to meet at Midtown Church of Christ (1704 13th St.) on Monday, March 20, 2006 from 10-12 for a public viewing. Her Homegoing celebration will follow at noon with Brother Sylvester Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Rest in peace, dear Brenda. You have fought the good fight and now you have finished the race.
