Racine – Carolyn Ann Claus, 57, known to all as “Karry”, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017, after a long, courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.  She was born in Racine on April 17, 1960, daughter of the late James McKellips, Sr. and Louise (nee: Roberts) McKellips.

Karry attended Park High School.  She was a manager for Culver’s for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and “coffee clutching” time where she would catch up on conversation with family and friends.  Karry loved her family dearly and treasured all the time she spent with everyone.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Karry leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, Mike Schram; daughter, Kassie Pirk; son, Justin Claus; grandchildren, Kiersten Geschke, Joseph Claus, Caleb Sura, Kyra Claus, Kaylee Claus, Jacob Claus; siblings, James A. (Sally) McKellips, Jr., Roger McKellips, Connie (Joe) Cypcar, Diane McKellips, Vicki (Brandon) Bewick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents, Karry is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Destiny Pirk; sister, Pam McKellips; and grandparents, Charles and Violet McKellips.

A celebration of Karry’s life will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service.  Entombment will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:30am for procession to the cemetery.

The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to the staff at Aurora Home Hospice as well as the staff at Aurora Medical Center for the care given to Karry during this difficult time.
