Carolyn P. Holmes

Nov 19, 1924 – Jun 30, 2006

Racine – Carolyn P. Holmes, 81, passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Friday, June 30, 2006. She was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, daughter of the late Francis and Anna Price. She was united in marriage to Edwin T. Holmes.

A lifetime resident of Springtown, New Jersey, Carolyn enjoyed life and reached out to help others. Baptized in 1967, she enjoyed talking to people about the Bible and God’s promise of a paradise on earth as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a faithful servant of Jehovah, Carolyn desired to do what was right in God’s eyes, speaking about her Heavenly Father each day until her death. Carolyn also loved to collect antiques, cook, and garden.

She is survived by her only son, William Edwin (Lyris) Holmes of Racine; grandchildren, Theron (Heather) Holmes of Pine Hill, New Jersey, Monet (Todd) Cooley, and Devon holmes, and Gillian Holmes all of Issaquah, Washington; great granddaughter Naomi Lynn Holmes of Pine Hill, New Jersey; sister Charlotte Still of Atlanta, Georgia; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin; her four sisters Lois Benton, Olive Debnam, Dorothy Bostic, and Marian Cadogan; and one brother Boyd “Jake” Price.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 691 Irving Avenue, Bridgeton, New Jersey.

On behalf of the entire Holmes family we would like to thank everyone for your prayers, cards, flowers, and other acts of kindness during this time. We also thank the doctors and staffs of the Becker-Shoop Center, and St. Mary’s Medical Center for their skillful care and support.

I will always have fine memories
of Aunt Babe she kept me laughing. She saved my life one day when I choked on a piece of hard round candy I was about 8 or 9; she almost broke my back pounding on it but it worked!! Can’t forget that great cooking and baking either. She will be truly missed.
    Love
    Jackie

Testimonials

December 19, 2016

I can’t say enough good things about Michael and his staff. They go above and beyond what is required of a funeral home. He has always met my desires and goes beyond what I ask. He always makes it a little more special. He has blessed me and my family many times and comforted us when we are aching because of our loss. I am always confident that he will do his very best, and he always has.
Thank you Michael and staff. May you all have a Blessed Christmas season and New Year

Julie Weyhrauch
