Casimir "Cas" J. Gryczkowski

Jul 14, 1923 – May 26, 2007

Racine- Casimir “Cas” J. Gryczkowski, 83, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 26, 2007. Cas was born in Kenosha on July 14, 1923 to the late Peter and Anastasia (nee: Kuczinski) Gryczkowski. He proudly served our Country with the United States Navy in WWII. Following graduation from vocational school, Cas began his 47 year career as a welder at the J.I. Case Corporation. He was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church. Among his interests, Cas enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an automobile enthusiast. A faithful friend to many, Cas loved and cherished socializing with the countless lives that touched his heart throughout his lifetime. Surviving are his sister, Zosia “Sophie” Kowalski of Waukegan, IL; brothers, Stanley (Helen) Gryczkowski of Kenosha and Edward Gryczkowski of Racine; by many special nieces and nephews too numerous to mention by name; and by his extended relatives of the Eugene and Sandie Sessa family, the Terry Otwaska family and the Jonna, Rob, Sue and Jeff Chiapete family, just to name a few. In addition to his parents, Cas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances (nee: Reesman) Gryczkowski, who was the love of his life. Funeral services for Cas will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11 am with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Cas’s profound love of children, memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been suggested. A heartfelt note of thanks to all my family, friends and neighbors for the love and support you have given me. I had a special relationship with each of you that I truly treasured. May God continue to bless all of you! Love- Cas

I’d like to thank Brian Langendorf and staff for putting on a great memorial and celebration of life service for my mom. We received great feedback from our family and friends. My dad was especially appreciative on how it went and was very happy with the result. Thank you!!
