Racine- Charles Walter Kelley, 78, died at his home on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Charles was born in Hyannis, Mass. on January 23, 1928 to the late Zenas and Mary (nee: Byrnes) Kelley. He was employed as a tax accountant and was an enrolled agent for the IRS. Mr. Kelley was a longtime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Civic minded, he was an active Rotarian and Kiwanian among other service organizations and clubs; and political supporter, especially of Senator Herb Kohl. Among his hobbies, he was an accomplished pencil and paint artist. Surviving are his children, Robert (Lora) Kelley, Sharon Kelley, Nancy Kelley, William Kelley, Susan (Mike) Greenwood and Mary Ann (Mike) Kohel; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Edith (Milton “Shorty”) Babcock; brother-in-law, LeRoy (Doris) DeRosier; many other special relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Rita (Joe) Kelley; brother, William (Dot) Kelley and daughter-in-law, Deborah Kelley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., at 11 am with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in Calvary Cemetery Crypts. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 9:30 – 11 am.
