Racine – Clayton Bogan, Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 3, 2016.
He was born in Aberdeen, MS on April 14, 1940 to Clayton and Charlotte (nee: Smith) Bogan Sr. Clayton Jr. relocated to Racine in 1969. Clayton was a homebound Christian as he was baptized as a child professing his faith according to the King James Holy Bible teachings.
Clayton was united in marriage to Beverly A. (Nee: Herron) on May 19th, 1979 after a meet and greet in 1971. He was employed by Harris Metals, Inc. retiring after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his loving wife Beverly A.; children Jeana C. (Morris) Herron-Bodden, Wilson Titus III and Michelle A. Bogan; grandchildren Verena, Kari, Cameron, Mylyssa, Jessica, Kaleb, Richard and great-grandchildren A nala, Aliana all living in various states of the United States of America; three brothers: Willie C Bogan, Leon Bogan and Christopher C. (Rhonda) Bogan Sr.; four aunts Jessie Mae of Minneapolis, MN., Mableen Blackmon, Mary Lou Kyles and Arethia Abbott, all of Okolona, MS; six sisters-in-law, Carol L. (Bernard) Jones, Kathy E. Herron, Debra C. (George) Taylor Sr. of Racine, WI., Shelia L. Herron , Yvonne F. Herron of Birmingham, Al. Laverne G, Herron of South Milwaukee, WI.; 3 brothers-in law William H. (Mary Ann)Herron of Bessemer, Al., Albert B. Herron and Joseph Knuckles Jr. of Racine, WI and a host of sweet caring nieces and nephews along many other caring relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Charlotte Bogan Sr.; brother Neal Bogan; sister Dezzie (nee. Bogan) (Young) Barr and grandson Alexander A. Jones.
Viewing will be in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
