God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, “Come to me”.
And I will light a candle for you. To shatter all the darkness and bless the times we knew. Like a beacon in the night, The flame will burn bright and guide us on our way. Oh, today I light a candle for you.

In life Dan made his presence known and we cherished the friendship he offered. In death, what a void has been left for those of us who called Dan our friend.
Doug Manis says
My condolences go out to all of the Baltic family and to all who were close to Dan.
I have worked with Dan ever since he took the reins over for his buddy Robert Stiff.
His dry sense of humor will surely be missed.

Dan was truly my “sunshine,” and I will forever thank God for allowing our paths to cross. I appreciated being able to glean from the wealth of wisdom imparted to me. I am grateful for ever having an opportunity to call him “friend,” and I will miss him tremendously.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. The world was a brighter place with Danny in it. I will remember him everytime I see a Classic car or hear a Harley engine. The District Council won’t be the same without him but I know he will be watching over all of us.

I will miss you Dan. You were my consultant and second opinion on most of my mechanical projects. Even if I thought I knew the answer, I verified it with you. I admired you for all of the projects you did. We talked about military service, I will miss that.
I extend my sympathy to the family. Dan left us about 25 years to soon. I hope his family was able to absorb some of his knowledge.
I will rember Dan wheneve I have one of my issues that he helped me with, but I know it will take a long time, if ever, to find another like him.

When you work closely with someone you rely on that person to give a kind word on a bad day, laugh with you during an insane time or just listen to you. Dan did all of these things for me. He was not just a co-worker but he was my friend. I will think of Dan every time I pass 12 E. Erie, see a nice motorcycle or drink a great red wine. Find peace and rest my friend.

I know I’m not the only one that will miss Dan. I am only one of many that called Dan their friend. Dan is gone but his memory will always be with me. I hope time will ease your families heartache.

I have worked for the Chicago Carpenters Pension dept for the last 8 years and during my time here. I had the pleasure of laughing and befriending Dan. In the mornings, coming into the building i would run into Dan by the elevator “i’d say” Dan you still here? Have you been here all weekend? and he would say yap! with a SMILE. Later in the day he would make his way to the pension dept to say hello to us girls and SMILE. He’d always have a smile. My Prayers and sincerest condolences to your entire family. He will be missed.
