Daniel R. McClure

Nov 2, 1954 – Jan 14, 2007

Racine – Daniel Ray McClure, 52, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Sunday, January 14, 2007. He was born in Racine on November 2, 1954, son of the late Lawrence and Janis (nee: Marks) McClure. Daniel moved with his family to Kenosha in 1969. He was a 1972 graduate of Tremper High School. Right out of school, he went to work for the City of Kenosha Department of Public Works, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed spending time with many of his friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and will be remembered as one of the kindest and most generous men they knew. He is survived by two children, Daniel and Christopher; three step-children, Kimberly, Larry, and Rose; brothers and sisters, Lawrence (Sophie Schultz) McClure, Jr., Julie (Wally) Nelson, Michael McClure, Lindy (Cindy) McClure, Colleen Rybarik, Sonja (Ed Nelson) McClure, and Debbie McClure; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His brother, Patrick McClure, and brother-in-law, John Friend also preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2007 with Rev. Linda Farmer-Lewis officiating. Private inurnment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11:30. Memorials to the family have been kindly suggested.

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life.
