James "T-Bone" Valasek says
Dave, or as I would sometime refer to you, Hippie Dave or 99.9% of the time…..Brother! I just want to say I am blessed to have known you and have you in my life. The times we spent together drinking, laughing, talking about our jobs and your family are memories I treasure. Your laugh was undeniably contagious and is forever etched into my heart. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see you a month ago at the Elvis concert. That alone made my day and to see you look up and see me in the balcony and let loose with the shit eating grin that went ear to ear was outstanding and made me think, hmm how much trouble can you and I get into tonight? I just want to say I will see you one last time physically Friday however I will always see you in my memories until the day comes I sit down next to on the bar stool you saved for me. Love and Laugher always brother and God’s speed!
Walter E Rekowski Jr. says
THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
THE CHAIN will link again.

God gained another angel. You were always so nice to Chris and me. Watch down on your daughters and Grandson and give them signs you are with them. You have raised an incredible family…to carry on.
