
Dolores A. Kaniewski, 77, died at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Thursday, December 14, 2006 after battling Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Milwaukee on June 25, 1929 to the late Frank and Irene (nee: Makowski) Komassa. On August 28, 1948, she married Donald J. Kaniewski in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church of Milwaukee. They resided in Milwaukee until retirement. After retiring they moved Red Granite, WI before relocating to Racine in 1997. After arriving in Racine, they joined St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Mrs. Kaniewski enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking for her family. She also treasured the fond memories of Pearl Lake in Red Granite, WI.
In addition to her loving husband, Donald, her survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Rodney) Malzahn of Racine, Dawn (Bob) Augustyn of Pewaukee; granddaughter, Cherie (Del) Tuttle of Racine; 2 great grandsons, Johnathan and Michael Tuttle; brother and sisters, Robert (Elaine) Komassa, Arlene Zielski, Alice Wilke all of Milwaukee Diane Sobiak of Florida; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring St.) on Monday, December 18, 2006 at noon for the celebration of Dolores’ life and Funeral Mass with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Private entombment will take place in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Milwaukee. There will be a visitation in the church on Monday from 11 until noon. Memorials in Dolores’ name may be directed to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation 383 Main Avenue 5th floor Norwalk, CT 06851.
