Donald Alvin Neufuss

vet
Oct 3, 1939 – May 9, 2011

Mr. Donald Neufuss, 71, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 9, 2011.

He was born in Milwaukee on October 3, 1939, the son of Henry Alvin and Anna Mary (nee: Lesatz) Neufuss.  After graduating from high school, Donald proudly served his nation with U.S. Army.

Donald was a small business owner in Racine for over 20 years, operating Business Couriers, a messenger delivery service.  Although he enjoyed his work, his passions were for engineering (he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering) and for music.

He is survived by his son, Donald J. (Rebekah) Neufuss of Madison; his sister, Fran (Lloyd) Krumlauf and nephew, Michael Donald Lloyd Krumlauf both of Naperville, IL; as well as cousins and friends; especially his longtime customers and Castlewood Restaurant mates.

Friends are invited to meet at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove (http://dva.state.wi.us/cem_southern.aspon) on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. for a service honoring and remembering Donald’s life.  His interment will follow with military honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Boland Hall (21425 E Spring St Union Grove, Wisconsin53182)

One of the most down to earth people I have ever met. He was an amazing man, and an equally amazing uncle. I’m going to miss him, but i will never forget him. His impact on my life is surely something to always remember. 🙂

    Love ya Uncle Donald,

    Michael XOXO

Fran and Family: After trying to get hold of Don for months, the lady that has his old phone number called me back. That’s when I started looking on the internet. I am saddened. When he didn’t call me on my birthday I figured something was wrong. I am so sorry for your loss, and mine. Take care, and please know I though a lot of Donnie and will miss our personal and phone friendship very much.

    My best wishes always,
    Pug (Janet)
