SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2020

VISITATION: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

HOMEGOING SERVICE: 11:00 a.m.

DRAEGER-LANGENDORF FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY

Donald Durell Lester “Donald D” was born January 25, 1968 in Racine Wisconsin to the union of Frances (Vance) Lester and Eddie Lester. Donald was one of four children. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour at an early age. Donald was a member of the Second Baptist Church. There, He learned his bible and studied his word.

Donald received his education at J.I. Case High school. He also built a brotherhood bound with a group of friends (Solid Gold Boys). Donald studied mechanical engineering at Central State University of Ohio. Also, he played football for this Historical Black College. He led as a vocalist with the Tot Angelic Choir singing his favorite song “Trouble in My Way”. Donald was truly blessed with multiple talents.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his parents Eddie & Frances Lester, his three siblings Wendell Vance, Roger Lester, & Carolina Lester (Reginald) the mothers of his children Leslie Pitt & Erica Etienne, his three children DeAndre (Kayla) Lester, Eric (Ashley) Cage, & Dominique (Darell) Livingston, his nine grandchildren Dakeera, Joryah, Kahlea, Naomi, Jackson, Tristyn, Alayah, Darielle, & Baby Eric. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents Prince & Callie Mae Vance, and Willy & Laura Lester.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, November 14, 2020 for a visitation from 10-11a.m. A service celebrating his life and Homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Johnny Ford officiating. I remember Lester from around the way, never had a real relationship with him other than being a nice person when you saw him around.
