It is sad to read Aunt Doris’s obituary, but it is nice to see this beautiful picture of her. Her smile and laugh is forever etched in my memory. RIP Aunt Doris.

Dear family of aunt Doris, you have my deepest sympathy. Your mom will always have a special place in my heart. Over the years she has shown such compassion towards me, more so after the passing of my brother, father and most recently, my mother. Aunt Doris would faithfully send me Christmas cards when she could. I enjoyed receiving them so much. Whenever I was able to attend the 4th of July reunions over the years, I looked so much forward seeing aunt Doris. Her hugs, smiles and warm conversations always put a smile on my face. I’m saddened, but know she is with her family in heaven, where I believe we will all be together again one day. God bless you all.

Doris was a vibrant soul who loved family gatherings and her long standing friendships. We shared many laughs together and Doris could dish it out as well as she could take it. Her personality lent itself to being very relatable to others at any age group. Doris was a classly woman without being pretentious, she made others always feel comfortable and welcome. She certainly was a gift to me and will be deeply missed.

I first met Doris when I started working at Gateway Technical College. She was a wonderful co-worker, very kind and caring and always had a smile on her face. Rest in Peace, Doris, you will be missed.
