
Eddie Lee Hooks, 76, was called Home by his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was born in Tuskegee, AL on July 21, 1933, the son of the late Murphy and Zicey Hooks. Eddie Lee had been employed by A.M.C./Chrysler for over 44 years until retiring in 2003. He was a retiree of UAW Local 72. He enjoyed riding his Kawasaki and collecting trains. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Ronnie Hooks, of Milwaukee, Murphy (Alberta) Hooks, of Zion, IL, Edward (Katrina) Hooks, of Racine, Robin (Patrick) Hunter, of Atlanta, GA, and Nancy (Antonio) Fuentez, of Lakeville, MN; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his close and loving companion, Charlene Junior; brother-in-law, John Snow, of Birmingham, AL, along with a host of nieces, nephews, in Birmingham and Huntsville, AL, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Eddie Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Essie Mae Snow and Ola “Lula” Mae Evans. His Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John P. Thomas and Rev. Willie Riley officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
