Florence C. Thery

Jul 11, 1913 – Mar 29, 2007

Florence C. Thery, 93, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2007. She was born on July 11, 1913, the daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine (nee: Goebel) Etteldorf. At the age of 10 she was adopted by the late Herman and Emma Rothweiler. On January 26, 1935, she was united in marriage to Henry W. Thery who preceded her in death on December 20, 1966. She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and working in her garden. Surviving are her children, Daniel (Yvonne) Thery of San Jose, CA, David Thery of Montello, WI, Diane and John Solberg, and Doris and Thomas Dresen all of Racine; grandchildren, Edwin Thery, Jeanette Mayorga, Russell Solberg, Randall (Dana) Solberg, Roxanne (Robert) Fay, Denise Lexa, Robert (Michelle) Dresen, Timothy (fiancé, Nicole) Dresen; numerous great-grandchildren. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Marylu Thery, grandson Thomas Dresen , her brother Bernard Etteldorf, and sisters, Magdalen LaPoint, Marie Etteldorf, and Josephine Celeste. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., on Tuesday, April 3rd, at 12:00 O’clock Noon, with Rev. Mark R. Jones and Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Private internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
