Francis J. Casey

Mabank, TX- Francis J. Casey, 86, formerly of Racine, died at his home in Mabank, TX on Saturday, December 30, 2006. Francis was born on January 30, 1920, in Elma, Iowa. Francis was known to many as “Casey”, but in Texas everyone called him Grandpa. Francis was a veteran of the Army Air Corp in World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife Bessie Casey. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Bill and Carol Casey; grandchildren Justin Prindle and his wife, Catherine, and Tammie Rudman; great grandchildren, Sierra Rudman, Orin Prindle, Emily Prindle, and Anna Prindle; his brother, Dick Casey and his wife, Jeanne; nephews, Pat Casey, Dave Casey, and their families. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 6 pm in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in St. Lucy Church on Thursday from 5-6 pm. Entombment services, with military honors, will be held on Friday at 9:00 am in the chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. In memory of Francis, memorials to St. Lucy Catholic Church have been suggested.
