George "Eddie the Barber" Manderfield

Racine – George Edward Manderfield, 77, passed away peacefully at All Saints Hospital on Monday, November 9, 2009. Known to many as “Eddie the Barber”, he touched many lives with his jokes and satire. He was a life member of VFW Post 1391. Ed is survived by his wife Beverley; two sons, Cary (Kim) Manderfield and Kelly (Jacky) Manderfield; three daughters, Tary Ludka, Stacy Manderfield, and Shelly (Tim) Christensen; step-children, Jackie and Mark Sondergaard. Ed’s grandchildren, Stephanie, Garrett, Evan, Cameron, Cody, Quinn, Dane, Sam, and Danielle will fondly remember him as Grandpa “Snip Snip”. Ed is also survived by his sisters, Betsy Smith and Sarah Hile; brother, Tim Manderfield; brother-in-law, Don Ager; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hackler as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tracy Manderfield; sister, Mary Jane Koehl; his parents, George and Jane (nee: Foster) Manderfield; and step-daughter, Kathy Hetto. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Committal services and military honors will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at All Saints Hospital for their guidance and compassion.
