Racine – Helen Marie Larson, 83, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born in Harrisburg, PA, on December 28, 1933, daughter of the late William and Mary Lawrence.
Helen was united marriage to Ronald Edwin Larson on June 12, 1954, in Harrisburg, PA. Ronald preceded her in death on October 31, 2010.
Helen found her way to serve her country as a member of the USO where she met Ronald. She and Ronald were members of St. Lucy Church for many years. Helen was an avid fan of not only the Green Bay Packers, but also of Brett Favre. Ronald and Helen loved attending Packer games at Lambeau Field. They also loved travelling to some of their favorite destinations including Walt Disney World and Las Vegas. Above all, Helen loved her family dearly and treasured the time she could dote on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brad Larson of Norwalk, CT, Keith (Janie) Larson of Nashotah, WI, Charlene (John) Mack of Kenosha; grandchildren, Gary Powell, Dan (Tina) Powell, Katie Larson, Kevin Larson; great-grandchildren, Mariah Powell, Aaron Powell, Cameron Powell; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary, Eleanor, Anna, and Emma.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service. Private burial will take place on Tuesday at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to the staff at Ridgewood Care Center, the staff at Hospice Alliance, Dr. Choi, and his nurse, Debbie, for the care given to Helen during her time of need.

I have some very special memories of Aunt Helen and Uncle Ron. Memories that would fill this page. Sometimes those memories roll down my cheeks as tears, as they are now.
To my cousins Brad, Keith, Cheri and your families … my thoughts and prayers to you all.
