Isabelle Marie Law

Nov 25, 1928 – Oct 15, 2016

Union Grove – Isabelle Marie Law, 87, passed away at Oak Ridge Care Center on Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was born in Racine on November 25, 1928 to Elwood and Isabelle (nee: Parman) Sharpe. On June 21, 1946 she was married to Charles E. Law in the Racine First Presbyterian Church.

Isabelle was a wonderful wife and mother. She and her husband enjoyed owning and operating The Chanticlear Antique Shop on I-94. Later they added a CB radio sales center. Her handle was Mother Hen. They also added making and selling doll houses and furnishings. They were very busy and loved it all. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, collecting buttons and stamps and reading. They were members of the Burlington Genealogy Society and were very interested in our family history. Isabelle loved everyone and everything, especially her pets, and furry and feathered friends outside.

Isabelle is survived by her children Diana Beaulieu of Sturtevant, Linda (Donald) Stephenson of Franksville, and Paul (Karen) Law of Burlington; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brother Dean Sharpe of Racine; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sheila Law; brothers Donnie Sharpe and Elwood Sharpe; son-in-law Gerald Beaulieu; and sister-in-law Jody Sharpe.

Private services were held at the Yorkville United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Isabelle often said, “You’re just like family.” Many thanks are extended to all of her friends at Killarney Court; Elder Care Cottages; and Oak Ridge Care Center for the care provided and companionship you shared.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My husband, Tom, died on Jan. 24, 2015. From that life-changing day and still now, Gary and his sons have been at my side taking care of me, advising me, and guiding me with their sensitive, caring, and efficient expertise. I have heard from friends and family how perfect and wonderful the funeral service was (it was a blur for me), and I have the beautiful obit, memorial booklets, CD rom of slide show, celebration candle, portrait, and even personalized thank you cards to provide memories and comfort during difficult days ahead. My heart is full of thanks and appreciation to Gary Langendorf and his entire family.
