Racine – James O’Hara Gordon, Sr., 53, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 3, 2006. James was born on August 1, 1952 in Racine and was a lifelong resident. James was a devoted member of the community. He faithfullt served his country and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969. He was formerly a member of Midtown Church of Christ. He is survived by his children, Corey (Tyra) Babington of Scottsdale, Arizona, Daniel Lee Babington of Racine, James O. Gordon II of South Bend, Indiana, and Janelle Marie Gordon of Scottsdale, Arizona; four grandchildren; one sister, Ernestine Gordon of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Glenn Gordon of Racine; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Gordon; his second wife, Kathryn Marie Williams; one sister, Maxine Gordon; grandmother, Rose Gordon; and two uncles, John and Junior Gordon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. Private internment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
