Jane T. Grabb

Dec 9, 1923 – Sep 27, 2009

Racine – Jane T. Grabb, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital. Jane was born in Rochester, NY on 12/9/23 to the late Harry and Frances Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 1975 and her daughter Diane in 2007.

Jane loved to golf with the “girls” and was still a member of the Tuesday league at Ive’s Grove. She also enjoyed playing cards, going to lunch with her long-time friends, and caring for her beloved dog Chelsey.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Cheryl (Jerry) Raymus from Muscle Shoals, AL, her granddaughter Marcy Yesalis from Dallas, TX, and her nephew Douglas Grabb from Boynton Beach, FL.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3 with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Mumford, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Racine Zoological Society or the North Central Maltese Rescue (www.malteserescue.homestead.com).

I never personally knew Jane but I’ve heard wonderful things about her and her joy for life. My wife and I send our condolences from Tennessee and our prayers are with Jane’s family at this time.

There are some things that never, ever leave us. The connection I was so very fortunate to have with Jane is one of them. She will be in my heart forever. Please, accept my sincere condolences.
