
Janet J. Roushia, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. She was born on March 19, 1944, Daughter of the late Frank and Anna (nee: Leszczynski) Kielar. She was a lifetime Racine resident. On June 30, 1962 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, she was united in holy matrimony to Dale V. Roushia. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2007.
Janet was a wonderful woman, mom, grandma, aunt, and sister. She had never ending love and support for her family. Her focus in life was being with and taking care of her family. She enjoyed traveling with them for weekend trips up north where they would go hiking and picnicking in the state parks. She also liked to play cards and cribbage, watching Packers and Bucks games, and playing with her grandchildren whom she treasured. She was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church.
Janet is survived by her children, Dale (Alice) Roushia of Newburg, Indiana, Deborah (James) Ostergaard of Racine, and Daniel (Cindi) Roushia of Davis, Illinois; 7 grandchildren, Bridget Roushia, Zachary and Hunter Ostergaard, Justin, Jason, Jacob, and Jennifer Roushia; sisters, Dolores (Ray) Tabbert of Mauston, and Mary Ingeman of Racine; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The celebration of her life and funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Allen J. Bratkowski officiating. Committal services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy 32. Visitation will be in the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 p.m., with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and then continue in the church on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Memorials to Hospice Alliance – Hospice House have been suggested.
