Racine – Jeffrey Wayne Hadley, age 58, made his transition to his Heavenly Father on December 6, 2019.  He was born on November 28, 1961 to  Rev. Fred P. and Mildred L. (nee: Weathersby) Hadley in Racine, Wisconsin where he remained a lifelong resident.

Jeffrey obtained his GED, a Certificate in Childcare as well as a Certificate in Bricklaying and Masonry all from Gateway Technical College. He was dubbed as “The BBQ King” of J & K’s Rib Crib.  His slogan was “just taste it!”  Jeffrey had the biggest heart and would always help anyone he could. He was a master at the game of chess.

The Word of God never departed from his heart.  He was an avid reader and studied the Word of God diligently. He was a willing vessel that God used to draw his family to Christ.

Jeffrey Wayne Hadley leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Karen Howze-Hadley and their daughter Mykeshia S. Howze. His legacy continues on with his children Dr. LaDonna E. (Toboisha,Sr.) Pickett, Demetrius L. Holland, Deone’ X. (Carolyn) Holland and their mother Eileen Holland; his children in love Johnny E. and Jermaine K. Jones, and Priscella K. (Greg) White; his “Grands” Leila, London, Legend, Toboisha Jr., Deonee, Jujuan, Riah, Tay, Capricia, Travon, Nasirr, Joniah, Jayden, Jayda, Kalin, Jermaine Jr., Jayla, Justin, Ja’Son, KaLiyah, Kalese, Kamara and Javion, all who lovingly called him “They Pa-Pa”;  mother-in-law Carrie L. Howze; brother-in law Jeffrey Dumas; sisters-in-law Tina Howze and April L. Guenther; his cousin, brother and friends Kevin L. (Karen) Hadley and Paul A. (Lisa) Young; his big brother and true friend Timothy L. Farr, as well as many other family members and friends too numerous to mention by name.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Fred P. and Mildred L. Hadley; grandchildren, Danasia Jackson-Holland and Toni and Tobi Pickett, Kelicia Renee’ White; special aunt Norma Carter; cousins Ronnie and Tony Gray and Ken Hadley; father-in-law Watson E. (Sonny), brother-in-law Tony, sister-in-law Beth Howze.

Jeffrey will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019  11:00am in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the chapel from 10:00am until the time of service.

    Karen,

Words are inadequate, but just know God will carry you through. Jeff was a good , kind and generous man, as demonstrated by the number of friends and family who feel the void left by his loss. I especially will forever be grateful for how he spent time with my dad after he came back to Racine, and when you and he hosted a Father’s Day in his honor.

I pray for strength, peace and love as you travel through this difficult time. Stay strong in faith and find comfort in the cherished memories.

January 9, 2025

Michael,

First, let me start out by saying you were a God sent working with me for many years in preparations for my mom’s Homegoing Celebration December 7, 2024.  Even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I already knew you.  Michael, you demonstrated  professionalism, empathy and, your warmth was surprising for me considering your role as a Funeral Director. Your attention to every detail, patient and support has made this process much easier for my family and me. I trusted you and you helped me find closure in a moment of great sadness, and for that we’re eternally grateful. I appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly considering I reside in a different state.  Michael, my mom would have loved you and our family is forever grateful for your unwavering dedication and support during our season of grief.  May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:25)
