Johnson E. Jean

Jul 18, 1926 – Jan 5, 2007

Mrs. Jean E. Johnson, 80, died at Kenosha Care Center on Friday, January 5, 2007. A lifelong resident, Jean was born on July 18, 1926 to the late Fred and Edna (nee: Seeley) Kramer. On January 17, 1948, she married Clarence L. “Cunnel” Johnson in Zion Lutheran Church. She remained a longtime faithful member of Zion since their marriage. Jean loved being outside where she gardened and tended to her flowers. Jean also had a fond appreciation for animals and the many pets she had throughout her life. She most enjoyed being in the surroundings of her family. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Cunnel, her survivors include her children, Carol Sarabia of Madison, David (Tenley) Johnson of Chisago, MN; grandchildren, Robin and Heather Sarabia of Madison, Tom (Rebecca) Johnson of California, Andrew Johnson of South Dakota, Tim Johnson of Chisago, MN and her sister, Carol Freier of Racine. Jean was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Johnson and brothers, William and Fred Kramer. Family and friends are invited to meet at Zion Lutheran Church (3805 Kinzie Ave.) on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Jean’s life and funeral service with Rev. Pam Kerschner officiating. There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday evening 5-7 p.m. Burial will follow the service on Wednesday at Graceland Cemetery. Jean’s family has suggested memorials to Zion Lutheran Church.
