Racine – Judith Ann Ruud, 72, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born in Milwaukee on November 1, 1944, daughter of the late Chester and Edna (nee: Schultz) Kasinski.
Judith was united in marriage to the love of her life, Wayne E. Ruud, on June 20, 1964, at Centennial Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Judith graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee in 1962. She was a teacher’s aide for the Racine Unified School District for 32 years. Following retirement, she was a volunteer for Little Saints and Cops for Kids. Judith enjoyed puzzles, computer games, and going to the movies. She was a true fan of The Statler Brothers. Above all, Judith loved her family tremendously and enjoyed doting on her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Judith leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Wayne Ruud; daughters, Laura Martinson, Lisa Ruud; granddaughters, Haley Martinson, Miranda Martinson; sister, Joan Malinowski; brother, Ken Kasinski; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, Judith is preceded in death by her son, Scott Ruud; father-in-law, Clarence Ruud; mother-in-law, Viola Ruud; brother-in-law, Joseph Malinowski; and sister-in-law, Gloria Kasinski.
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, 11:00am, at Pentecost Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Avenue, with Rev. Luke Jacob officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Interment will take place at 2:00pm on Friday at the chapel of West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Pentecost Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to the staff at Ascension-All Saints, especially Mary Jo and Alyssa from ICU, for the love and care given to Judith during this difficult time.

Lisa,
Try to remember those special times with your Mom, it will help ease the pain in your heart. Life is precious, take things one day at a time and your pain should eventually become bearable. Please know that if you need anything I will be there to help or lean on.
Sincerely,
Dawn
