GOSHEN, AR – Judith (Judie) Lynn Conklin was born on September 29, 1939 in Racine, Wisconsin to Leo and Hazel Lehtiner. She married her beloved husband, William Curtis Conklin in 1961, and together they had four children. They relocated to California for her husband’s new job, and lived most of their lives in California. Her children were very active in all sports, and Judie drove up and down California to attend her children’s sporting events, while her husband was active in coaching. Judie was so proud of her children. When her children were older, Judie studied to become a Registered Nurse and worked in the medical field. Judie had a heart of gold and she was always so kind and generous and very patient. She cared deeply for everyone, and was always there for her children and anyone else she came in contact with.
In 1999, Judie and Bill moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas so they could be near their children and watch their grandchildren grow. She was such a caring woman who found joy in spending time with her family at home and at the beach. Following the death of her husband in 2001, she devoted herself to caring for her autistic son, Michael. We will miss her so much, and we will always remember her smile that lit up the room.
Judie is survived by her children, Jon Conklin, Michael Conklin, and the twins, Susan Conklin and Timothy Conklin; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Conklin, Jaren Conklin, Lauren Harrison, Madison Conklin, Noah Conklin, Zoe Conklin, Chloe Conklin, Mitchell Conklin, Ryan Conklin; and 4 great-grandchildren, Izaiah Conklin, Liam Conklin, Hunter Harrison and Olivia Conklin.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Beard’s Chapel with the Reverend Jim Huffman officiating. Judie will be laid to rest in her hometown of Racine, Wisconsin. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Mound Cemetery under the direction of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home in Racine.
