Julia J. Anderson

Jun 11, 1914 – Feb 23, 2009

Julia J. Anderson, 94, passed away in the Ridgewood Health Care Center on Monday, February 23, 2009. She was born in Racine on June 11, 1914 the daughter of the late Alexander and Frances (nee: Krzywdinski) Stankiewicz. After Alexander’s death Frances married John Rudin who adopted all the children. Together, Frances and John had a son Frank. Julie had been employed by the Hamilton Beach Co. and J.C. Penny’s. On August 21, 1937, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Harry C. Anderson who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1978. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Washington Park Golferettes and the Johnson Park Ladies. Julie was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross Gray-Ladies and in her earlier with years the Girl Scouts as a Brownie leader. Surviving are her daughters, Frances (Don Brouwers) Bohmann of Sturtevant, and Barbara Anderson of Fayetteville, AR; 6 grandchildren, Cari, Chris, Mike, Rob, Julie, and Dan; 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 ½ great-great- grandchildren. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive Julie. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband Harry; Julie was preceded in death by her son-in-law Bob Bohmann, her brothers Frank, John, Paul and Edward Rudin, sister Mary Rost, and nephew Rodger Rost. . Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27th, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place a 2:00 p.m. in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
