June E Welch

Jul 1, 1952 – Mar 18, 2014

Racine – June E. Welch, 61, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was born in Pasadena, California on July 1, 1952, daughter of the late John and Martha (nee: Urban) Walters. She moved to Kenosha when she was a teenager, and graduating from Tremper High School. She also graduated from Gateway Technical College with a degree in nursing.

June loved every moment of the 30 years she spent working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Brookside Care in Kenosha. More than anything though she loved her children and grandchildren, and was determined to participate in every birthday celebration or athletic event. She was at every football, soccer, baseball game, and swim meet.

June is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Krystie and Rodney Franks of Somerset, Wisc, Jennifer and Rudy “Wes” Pardo, and Cynthia Welch all of Racine; six grandchildren, Joe, Aubrie, Chase, Ariana, Londyn, and Johanna; sister Karen Walters of Kenosha; as well as many other relatives and friends, including her former husband, Jerry Welch of Racine. She was also preceded in death by her dear aunt and uncle, Cecelia and Steve Cominsky.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 4pm – 6pm, followed by a Service of Remembrance and Time to Share. Memorials to the family have been suggested.

Dearest Krissy, Jennifer and Cindy… there are no words that will comfort you at this time. Your mom was a very devoted mother to you and to her grandchildren and her presence in their lives will truly be missed. My sincerest sympathy to all of you and know that you are in our hearts, on our minds and in our prayers. May June, your mom, rest in peace and may you find the peace in the wonderful memories you have of her. God Bless and love you so much!!!!
