Kathleen A. Wickert

Feb 12, 1925 – May 9, 2011

Racine- Kathleen A. (nee: Crowley) Wickert, 86, passed away peacefully at Heritage Court in Menomonee Falls on Monday, May 9, 2011. 

Kathleen was born in Milwaukee on February 12, 1925 to the late James and Alma (nee: Schmagel) Crowley. On August 12, 1950 in St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Milwaukee, she was united in marriage with Edward Wickert, who preceded her in death on February 24, 1999. 

With a profound faith in God, Kathleen was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Women’s Club, Racine Garden Club and was active in several golf leagues. Among her interests, Kathy enjoyed rose gardening, ceramics,   golf and spoiling her canine companions. Above all, Kathy was kind-hearted and extremely generous. She faithfully supported numerous charities to enhance the quality of life for others. 

Surviving are her nieces and nephew, Sharon Wirth, Ronald Modesto, Robin (George) Hudson, Patricia Modesto and Sandy (Rick) Winkler; other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and special friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Patricia Modesto-Krueger. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Sean Granger officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 pm and in the church on Friday from 9:30-10:30 am. In memory of Kathy, contributions can be given to the family which will be distributed amongst Kathleen favorite charities.
