Lena F. Christensen

Mar 9, 1925 – Apr 15, 2009

Racine – Lena F. “Lee” Christensen, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 9, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (nee: Ambrose) Cerrone. On December 22, 1945, she was married in New Haven to Robert E. Christensen. She had been a Racine resident since 1946. Lee was a proud mom to her boys, and a loving grandmother. Her biggest joys came from caring for them all, and cooking family meals for all to share each Sunday. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Maggie Christensen of Burlington, Mark and Cathleen Christensen of Waukegan, Illinois, Tim and Sue Christensen, and Nick and Diane Christensen all of Racine; her grandchildren Lynn, Scott, Paul, Brian, Catie, Roni, Ryan, and Caitlin; sisters, Marion DeTullio, Evelyn Manna, and Louise (Gerry) DeMonico, all in Connecticut; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. In keeping with her wishes, a private service was held on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Lee was laid to rest along side her husband, Bob, at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Dover. The family has suggested memorials to Countryside Humane Society (2706 Chicory Rd., Racine, WI 53403) or to your favorite charity.

Testimonials

November 13, 2019

I just can’t get over how beautiful everything was for my mom’s funeral. She had a rough last four weeks but your amazing team totally did her justice! I was pretty confused during that hard time, but Brian, you made sure that all the “I”s were dotted and all the “T”s crossed. For that, I thank you. I also would like to thank the amazing team of makeup artists. My mom looked beautiful.

Dawn
