Lorraine Ann Jorgensen

RACINE – Mrs. Lorraine Ann Jorgensen, 75, died at WFH- All Saints on Saturday, October 13, 2007. A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on January 8, 1932 to the late Joseph and Carol (nee: Christiansen) Navratil. Lorraine graduated from Washington Park High School in 1950. On June 6, 1953, she married Richard W. Jorgensen. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2000. Lorraine was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Her survivors include her children, William Jorgensen, Karen (James) Gaastra both of Racine; granddaughters, Jennifer (Brett) Powell of Montgomery, IL, Jaclyn (Donald, Sr.) Street of Racine; great grandchildren, Jayden, Amelia, Timothy, Jennifer, Donald, Jr. and Cameron; brother, Ronald (Marge) Navratil of Sante Fe, NM (formerly of Libertyville, IL); sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jorgensen of Racine, Shirley Gilhart of Kentucky; brother-in-law, Wally Petersen of northern Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Allen Jorgensen and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Her life and funeral service will be celebrated in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John H. Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9-10 a.m. Memorials have been suggested to St. John’s School.
