Lottie B. White

Jun 2, 1929 – Feb 2, 2006

LOTTIE B. WHITE Racine- Mrs. Lottie B. White, 76, was called Home to her Lord unexpectedly from Kenosha Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 2, 2006. Lottie was born in New Albany, MS on June 2, 1929 to Andy and Fronice (nee: Pierce) Smith. In New Albany, in October of 1946, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Willie L. White, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1991. Lottie was employed as a scale operator at Racine Steel Castings prior to her retirement. Lottie was a devoted member of Second Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis, Rev. William Lofton and Rev. Daryn D. Crenshaw. Lottie was active in so many ways at the church, she enjoyed singing in the choir and helping in the kitchen, just to name a few. Blessed with a beautiful voice, Lottie was proud to have sung in the Heavenly Host’s Group for many years. She was also Past-Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. When she wasn’t lending a helping hand, Lottie liked to shop and cook, especially her soul food specialties, including sweet potatoe pie, chicken and dumplings, and biscuits. Above all, she placed her family as number one priority in life. She will be greatly missed! Surviving are her loving children, Bettye (Charlie) Jones, Deborah Herron, Gregory L. White, Larry C. (Carmen) White and Willie D. White, all of Racine; 20 cherished grandchildren; 29 adored great-grandchildren; brother, James (Annabelle) Kirkwood of Racine; sisters, Willie Mae Golden of Racine and Delphia Estes of Missippippi; sister-in-law, Classye Rogers; brothers-in-law, J.C. Thompson and Baby Shane Estes, all of Racine; and by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great-great-grandson, Julius Jose Morones-Jones; brothers and sisters, Charles Rogers, James (Flora) Pulliam, Charles (Jaimie) Kirkwood, Clara (Sonny) Hodges, and Elizabeth Thompson; and by brother-in-law, Joseph Golden . A Homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, February 10th, 2006 at 11:00 am at Lottie’s beloved Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1250 Lathrop Avenue., with Rev. Daryn D. Crenshaw and Bishop Dr. Charles C. Jones, Sr. (grandson) officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 10-11 am.

Testimonials

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.
