MARIA A. DOBBINS

Service Details

Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 12:30 p.m.

Visitation will be in the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

 

Maria Annette Dobbins, 65, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Sunday, Christmas Day 2016.

She was born in Chicago, IL, on August 11, 1951, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (nee: Hunter) Galloway.

After graduating from Kennedy-King College she joined the Ann Kiley Health Developmental Center as a mental health tech. Mrs. Dobbins was a member of the New Brighter Day Baptist Church. She enjoyed drawing, singing, and dancing. Her greatest love was the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her five children, Kim Galloway, of Toledo, OH, Dawnyeild “Dottie” L. Jones, of Montgomery, AL, Johnny Galloway, of Sturtevant, Christopher Galloway, of Oregon, WI, and Anetra McClain, of Kenosha; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, William (Sharon) Galloway, Samuel Galloway, all in Texas, Sharon Galloway, and Gerald Hunter, both in Illinois; and her former husband, Steven Erroll Moore, of Racine. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dobbins was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Clemeons, her third husband, James Dobbins on November 12, 2016, her grandson, Christopher Galloway, and by two brothers, David “Butch” Galloway and Anthony Galloway.
