Marilyn Ann Jensen

Nov 29, 1933 – Jan 6, 2016

   MOUNT PLEASANT – Mrs. Marilyn A. Jensen, 82, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.

   She was born in Lake Geneva, WI on November 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Earl and Viola (nee: Wiemer) Kinney.  On August 28, 1954 she married Karl A. Jensen.  He preceded her in death on April 28, 2014.

   Marilyn was a longtime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church.  She enjoyed her bridge club, monthly gatherings with her life-long school friends, and get-togethers with dear couples and their families from the sheriff’s department.

   Marilyn is survived by her children, Laurie Jensen of Racine, Peggy (Dan) Peeper of Waterford, Scott (Karen) Jensen of Houston; her grandchildren, Tim (Lindsey) Mikulance, Shana Mikulance, Alex Peeper, Becky Peeper, Shelbey Scardino, Brant Jensen, Bryce Jensen; her great grandson, Graham Mikulance; her brother-in-law, Edward Jensen of Houston; her sister-in-law, Mary Volz of College Station, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Ruffalo, brother, Donald Kinney, sister-in-law, Carol Jensen, and brother-in-law, Dr. Richard Volz.

   Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 12- 2 p.m. for a visitation and time to meet with her family.  The celebration of her life and funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.   There will also be a visitation in the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m.  Her interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia will follow the service at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to either the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin, 620 South 76th Street, STE 160  Milwaukee, WI 53214 or St. Catherine’s High School.

   The Jensen family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Ridgewood Care Center; but especially, Vivian and Toya for the loving and professional attention Marilyn received while under their care.
