Mark C. Feest, 48, died at his home on Tuesday, July 10, 2007. A lifelong resident of Racine, Mark was born on September 24, 1958 to the late James and Ruth (nee: Hagemann) Feest. He attended St. Edward’s School and graduated from the Prairie School (with honors) and U.W. Parkside. On January 5, 1980, he married Dorothy Niesen. Formerly a member of St. Edward’s, Mark recently had been attending St. Lucy Catholic Church. Mark was an avid sports fan. He loved watching whether it was youth sports, the Racine Raiders or the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed fishing, especially for bass. He is survived by his children, Eric and Benjamin Feest both of Racine and Michelle Feest of Kenosha; grandson, Bryceon Feest, his former wife, Dorothy of Kenosha special cousin, friend and caretaker, Tim Feest of Racine and numerous other dear relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Lucy Catholic Church on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Mark’s life and funeral mass with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. and in the church on Friday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Special Olympics.

I remember hanging out with Mark during high school. Mark was a year older, but I considered him a good friend in those days. Once he graduated, we lost track. I really always thought I would run into him as we both ended up in Racine. I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was one of the nicest guys in his class at Prairie – and I have no doubt that he was a great friend and father too.
