Martin "Marty" Haluska

Jan 31, 1948 – Mar 12, 2009

Martin P. Haluska, 61, passed away unexpectedly in Thorek Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago on Thursday, March 12, 2009. He was born in Racine on January 31, 1948 the son of the late Martin H. and Joyce E. (nee: Lojeski) Haluska. Marty had been employed by the J.I .Case Co. for over 10 years, and was a member of U.A.W. Local 180. He served his country with the U.S. Army. Marty was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing and watching baseball. Surviving are his sister Joy (James) Mahoney of Wild Rose, WI, their children James S. (Kim) Mahoney and Estie (Tony) Marnell; step mother Margaret Haluska all of Racine; step brothers and sisters, Anne (Michael) Cundari, Oliver Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Elizabeth “Cricket” (Ed Carpino) Johnson, Pam Kratochvil, Ronald Edmonston, and Carol (Jim) Hansen. His other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive him. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 18th, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery.
