A lifelong resident of Racine, Mary was born on August 15, 1960, the daughter of Lambert and Mary Lou (nee Garner) DeRidder. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1977.
Mary married Zack J. Schulz on September 21, 1979. Together they were members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Mary found her place with the Girl Scouts of Racine County, through the mergers and ending as the business manager for GSWISE after 30 plus years. In addition, she was an avid baseball fan, especially cheering for the Cubs. Mary was always in the background, and happiest in the company of her family, her nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband Zack, she is survived by her daughters Sarah (Marcel) Kielkucki and Jessica Schulz; her grandchildren Gabrielle and Joseph Kielkucki; her brothers Daniel (Becky) DeRidder and David DeRidder; her mother-in-law Marlene Schulz; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andy Schulz, Ann Schmidt, and Jeff (Sue) Schulz.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lambert and Mary Lou DeRidder, sister Evelyn (Don) Zimmer, and her father-in-law Jerry Schulz.

Lori Kasun says
I am so sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. I oversee our summer camps and outdoor programming and worked with Mary a lot since the realignment in 2008. Mary was always so kind-hearted, always sent everyone birthday cards and gave grace to all when there was a screw up. I loved working with Mary and knew she’d always get the job done. She was always behind the scenes making sure everything came out perfect. I will be unable to attend her service due to being out-of-town, but know that she is in my thoughts and prayers as are all of you.
