Michael J. McAuliffe

Michael J. McAuliffe, 67, passed away at his residence, on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, surrounded by the ones who loved him. He was born in Marinette, WI on September 29, 1942 the son of the late Edward J. and Zella May (nee: Sager) McAuliffe. Michael served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, for two tours ’61-’64 and 64-’67. He owned and operated Kozy Interiors Painting and Decorating. Michael collected coins, model cars, and knives. He enjoyed listening to music, shooting pool, all kinds of fish aquariums, and just talking with people. Michael also followed the Packers and the Cowboys. Surviving are the love of his life and soul mate, Linda Hardy; his children, Anthony L. (Susan) McAuliffe, Renee (Brent Moss) James, Tanya Hardy, and Christopher McAuliffe, all of Racine; grandchildren, Tiara, D’Angelo, and Mya James, Travon and T’Ana Webster, Cyrus Johnson-Moss, Taylor Moss, Jonathan James, Bianca Andric, and Daniel Ellis Jr.; sisters, Mary (Jerry) Kringle, of Milwaukee, and Judy (Richard) Tallale, in South Florida; sister-in-law, Sharon McAuliffe, of Racine; special nephews, Mark, and Dennis Petrovic, of Racine, and Petar (Virginia) Petrovic of Union Grove. Michael is also survived by his nieces, other nephews, relatives, clients, and a host of special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth “Joan” and Rudy Petrovic, brother, Patrick McAuliffe, and son-in-law, Demond James. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with family, in the funeral home, on Saturday, February 20th; from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Military Services will follow. In keeping with Michael’s directions, cremation will follow.
