Muriel M. Anderson

Jun 6, 1942 – Dec 8, 2006

Muriel M. Anderson, 64, died at the Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, on Friday December 8, 2006. She was born in Rural Iowa on June 6, 1942, the daughter of Helen and the late Leonard Schulke. On June 2, 1962, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Anderson. They made their home in Racine and were very active members of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Dick and Muriel enjoyed playing tennis, golf, bridge, and most of all spending time with their cherished friends. In 2001, the Andersons moved to their retirement home at Lake Arrowhead in Rome, Wisconsin and were members of Woodland Lutheran Church.

Muriel’s greatest love was for her family, whom she leaves behind to cherish her memory. Her beloved husband, Richard; their children Heather (Ed) Dyson of Port Washington, WI, Kurt (Lynn) Anderson of Lake Mills, WI; grandchildren Joshua and Samantha Marcsis, Brian Dyson, Nicholas and Jacob Anderson; her mother Helen Lehnhardt; her brothers Leroy Lehnhardt both of Monroe, WI, Galen (Connie) Lehnhardt of Newport News, VA. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends further survive her. She was preceded in death by her fathers Leonard Schulke and Arlin Lehnhardt.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12th, in Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave., with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Private burial services will be held in West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the American Diabetes Association.

Dick, Kurt and family– We just wanted to express our deepest sympathies for your loss. Murial was “One of a Kind” who always treated us like her own when we visited from MN. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Mike,
Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for all you did to honor our family member and friend, Mert Fleury. Like with her husband Ray, years ago, you and your staff went above and beyond to help us through this difficult time and to give Mert a wonderful celebration of her life. Every detail was considered, all of our requests were given unfailing attention, and the little extras took our breath away. Every sad feeling and every tear was matched two-fold with feelings of gratitude and comfort because of what you did. We will be forever grateful!
The Fleury Family

David Fleury
