Jun 3, 1921 – Jun 7, 2013

RACINE – Mr. Myron L. Christensen, 92, passed away at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc, WI on Friday, June 7, 2013.

He was born in Racine on June 3, 1921, the son of the late Carl and Margaret (nee: Hansen) Christensen.  He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1939 and proudly served his nation with the U.S. Army during WWII.    On May 2, 1953 he married Henrietta “Hank” Dupuis.  She preceded him in death on April 21, 2008.

Mr. Christensen retired from Young Radiator after 40 years of loyal service.  He was an avid Brewers and Packers fan that also enjoyed fishing, golfing and repairing everything he could get his hands on.  However, his greatest joy was being in the company of his family.

He is survived by his children, Ann (Steve) Bultema of Westerville, OH, Tom (Karen) Christensen of Oconomowoc, John Christensen of Racine; his grandchildren, Patrick (Kristy) Bultema, Caitlin and Alexandra Bultema, Mackenzie Christensen, Jacob and Charles Christensen; his sister-in-law, Jean (Al) Bouck of Appleton; as well as numerous dear nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, Hank, Mr. Christensen was also preceded in death by his brother, Gordon “Corky” (Janice) Christensen and brothers-in-law, Leon (Pearl) Dupuis, Donald (Lillian) Dupuis.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m. The celebration of his life and funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m.  A procession to West Lawn Memorial Park for interment with military honors will follow.  Memorials have been suggested to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018) or Shorhaven Health Center (1305 W. Wisconsin Ave. Oconomowoc, WI 53066).

Testimonials

December 18, 2024

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.
