She was born in Racine on January 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (nee: Potter) Overturf. Nancy was married to Richard Redding for nearly 40 years until his death in 1996. She was passionate about her genealogy and family tree, and was a member of the Mayflower Society. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, and collecting antiques. Nancy was a longtime member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully since the church was established 1996.

Nancy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family. She is survived by her children: Richard D. (Denessa) Redding, Charles Redding, Terry Redding, Leslie (Mark) Breidenbach, and Wendy (Rob) Vesely; stepchildren: Judy (Charles) Anderson, and Karen Toothman; grandchildren: Jennilee (Eric) Gasparich, Stephanie (Justin) Hullum, Todd Redding, Aaron Redding, Heather Vesely, Joseph Vesely, Kara Breidenbach, James Breidenbach, Katie Redding, and Marie Redding; great-grandchildren: Madison and Reed Gasparich, Eva and Emilee Hullum; as well as other relatives and friends.

Testimonials

Thank you from Raymond Szymanski Family

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond. You treat everyone like family and your compassion is so genuine. There should be more people in the world just like all of you. No words can express our gratitude for all you have done for myself, my father and our family. Thank you so very much and may the Lord bless you and yours! Sincerely Terri Carls and the Szymanski Family
