LaGrange, WI (Lauderdale Lakes) – Patrick Louis Donahue, age 59, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Summit, WI.

Patrick was born in Racine on October 4, 1964 to William Patrick Donahue and Merle Lynne (nee: Van Lone) Donahue. He was a 1982 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School in Racine and went on to serve our country with the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1986. Working in avionics he was stationed in Alameda California and obtained the rank of Sargent. Patrick was employed with United Airlines for 34 years. Holding several positions in the course of his career he retired as senior manager of flight safety investigations and accident response. He was highly respected in his field working with agencies worldwide and regarded by his peers not only for his professionalism and technical expertise but for his great sense of humor as well.

Patrick was united in marriage with Maggie (nee: Rudar) Lane by Lake Geneva on a beautiful September day and would tell those who asked, he and his girl were married for a lifetime. He was passionate about mountain biking in the Southern Unit Kettle Moraine State Forest by his home and was routinely on the trails several times a week. He loved kayaking, hiking, and camping with Maggie and was the happiest sitting by a campfire in the woods looking at the stars.

Surviving are his wife, Maggie; mom, Merle Donahue; twin sisters, Erin (Vance Pankow) MacLennan and Kerry (Dave) Passehl; step-sons, Nicholas (Meghan) Lane and Zachary (Sydney) Lane; granddaughters, Alyssa Lane and baby girl Lane (due Oct. 2024); nephews, Colin MacLennan, Jake Passehl and Ryan Passehl; best-friends, Dale, Greg and Don; feline companion, Simon; other relatives and numerous friends. Pat was preceded in death by his father, William Donahue, brother Michael, and infant twin sisters.

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, private family services, with military honors, will be held. Entombment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. At Patrick’s request, any memorials offered should please be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
