Pearl E. Czechowicz

Apr 2, 1928 – Sep 23, 2014

~~     Pearl E. Czechowicz, 86, passed away in Wheaton Franciscan Hospital-All Saints on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. She was born in Racine on April 2, 1928 the daughter of the late Adrian and Pearl (nee: Frederickson) Wilson.
    On June 16, 1965 she was united in marriage to Adolph “Murphy” Czechowicz, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26 2003 . Pearl was a member of the famous Racine Belles. She was a longtime member of Atonement Lutheran Church. She, along with her daughter Lynn, owned and operated Speed Textile Printing.
     Surviving are children, Lynn (Jon) Nielsen-Eeg, Gary Czechowicz, Rick (Michelle) Czechowicz, all of Racine, and Scot Czechowicz, of Wakefield, MN; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jenny Emerson, of Mt. Pleasant, and Ruth Birkholz; brother-in-law, Richard Birkholz; brother, Don (Beverly) Wilson, all of Racine; 2 sisters-in-law, Marge Wilson, and Shirley Wilson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and by her 2 cats, Indigo and Leo. In addition to her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Adrian, Chuck, Bruce, and Rollie.
     Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home, on Monday, September 29th, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dana O’Brien officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials to the Hope Safehouse.
