It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Garret Gosbee, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, and a longtime resident of Mount Pleasant, Peter touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Peter graduated from Horlick High School in Racine before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Parkside. He dedicated his career to the field of Information Technology, working as an IT Engineer for Zoom Lion, Emerson, and Jacobsen Textron where he showcased his talent and expertise. Peter retired in 2024 due to health reasons.
On January 24, 1998, Peter married his soulmate, Sue Ann Reesman, at St. Richard Catholic Church. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, flourishing over the years as they built a beautiful family together. Peter’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Anton and Katia.
Peter’s favorite past times were sailing, reading, kayaking, and especially golf. Whether on the golf course with friends or family, he embraced every moment, celebrating life’s simple pleasures. His laughter and light will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
Peter leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 27 years, Sue Gosbee; daughter, Katia (Bobby Renteria) Gosbee; son, Anton Gosbee; grandchildren; Bobbby and Luka Renteria; siblings, Geri Gosbee, John Gosbee, David (Ann) Gosbee, Greg (Rich) Gosbee, Alyssa (Paul) Stang; sibling-in-laws, Pat (Bruce) Moore, Sally (Bill) Hansen, Joe (Denise) Reesman, Ed (Cindy) Reesman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents, John and Charlene Gosbee; and sister-in-law, Laura Lin Gosbee.
In honor of Peter’s life, a Memorial Service will be held on September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with visitation preceding the service at 10:00 AM.
As we gather to celebrate Peter’s life, let us remember the cherished moments, the laughter shared, and the unconditional love he bestowed upon all. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we continue to live in a way that honors his memory.
