Order Flowers from Family Selected Florists

Signature Flowers by Randy

Racine – Phyllis H. Kent, 84, passed away at The Villa at Lincoln Park on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was born in Mondovi on March 30, 1933, daughter of the late Paul and Verna (nee: Kosek) Hart. Phyllis graduated from Mondovi High School in 1951, and then moved to Racine.

Phyllis’ family was most important to her, and she worked hard to provide a home for them.  She retired from All Saints Hospital in 1999 where she worked for many years as an Intake Assistant. Although poor health kept her from many activities, she did get enjoyment from following current political/social events, watching the Packers, and a wide variety of television and movies.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Mindy (Rick) Hetland of Racine, Pamela (Russ) Howard of Nelson, BC, Canada; Brian (Kim) Kent of Burlington, Vermont, Greg (Donna) Kent, Barry (Lisa) Kent, Jenny (Jim) Schumacher all of Racine, and Kerry (Christine) Kent of Eagle River, Alaska; grandchildren: Kendra, Kayla, Fuchsia, Tess, Neil, Max, Steven, Megan, Jamie, and Scott; great-grandchildren: Jessi, Alexander, Collin, Eion, Cielle, Juniper, and Savannah; brothers: Richard Hart of Kenosha, and Bill (Sandy) Hart of Eau Claire; sister Kathy (Bob) Crawford of Racine; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded by her son Roger Kent; brothers, Paul Hart and David Hart; and sister Margaret Rud.

Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 4:30pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 and conclude with a memorial service at 6:00pm. A private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to the All Saints Foundation have been suggested.

My sympathy for your loss. I did Phyllis’ hair at Home Harbor and enjoyed talking with her at each appointment. She was a lovely lady.

Testimonials

Thankful

We recently used Draeger-Langendorf’s services for my grandmothers funeral and we are so thankful for Mike and the rest of the staffs help. They made the whole process easy and never urged us to make a certain choice. They were very informative of how the service was going to go and always made sure we knew what was going on. To our surprise Mike Langendorf was there singing in the choir during the funeral and it really made us feel like he truly cared about us. Such a fantastic singing voice! Amazing people to have helping plan during a hard time, would highly recommend.
