Richard "Dick" Rosario Bruno

Jan 25, 1940 – Mar 8, 2009

Racine – Richard “Dick” Rosario Bruno, 69, passed away at Kenosha Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 8, 2009. A lifetime resident, Dick was born in Racine on January 25, 1940 to the late James Carmen and Pauline Eleanor (nee: Bramanti) Bruno. For most of his career, he was a proficient car salesman for various automobile dealerships in the Racine area. With a great appreciation for music, Dick was a gifted classical guitarist. He could often be found working diligently on various arrangements in the comfort of his living room, a place he always considered his sanctuary. For the week preceding his death, Dick was surrounded by the loving presence of his children and grandchildren. Like watchful guardians, they were always near his bedside. Throughout his final moments, he was never without tender hands and voices, never without quietude and reverence. Surviving are his children, Angie (the late David) Flores, John (Leslie Nyland) Bruno, Jennifer (Christopher) Norton, Elizabeth (Samuel Modder) Bruno, Rick Allen, Donna Allen, Jodi Curry and John Allen; grandchildren, Breana, Amber, Anthony, April, Audrianna, Elijah, Alexis, Caleb, Uriah, Willa and a new grandchild to arrive in early June; brother, Robert (Patricia) Bruno; sister, Barbara Bruno; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention by name. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 6:00 pm. A reception, to celebrate Dick’s life, will follow at Infusino’s Banquet Hall. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 pm. In accordance with Dick’s wishes, cremation will follow the services. In memory of Dick, memorials can be made to his family.
