Ronald G. Beguhn

May 2, 1927 – Apr 9, 2021

Service Details

A memorial service celebrating Ron’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home.  Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  He will be laid to rest in the West Akers Church Cemetery, Dunn County.

Ronald G. Beguhn Sr., age 93 of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

He was born on May 2, 1927 in Dunn County, Wisconsin, a son of the late George F. and Lillian E. (nee: Howe) Beguhn.

On November 7, 1947 at West Akers Church in Dunn County, he was united in marriage to Ardeth L. Johnson. In their over seventy years of marriage, they enjoyed many trips together including traveling to Hawaii with Ardeth’s parents in 1975, as well as to Branson, MO. to celebrate both their fiftieth and sixty eighth anniversaries. They also together enjoyed the Wednesday night Kenosha Pops concerts at the bandshell.

Ron began his career at Massey Ferguson where he was employed for nine years, then worked at KAT for thirteen years, and ended his career working with many area contractors in the area.  He was a proud 50 plus year member of the Laborers Union Local 237.

Ron loved working in his vegetable garden often sharing his bounty with friends and complete strangers.  He also enjoyed the time he spent with the family at “the cottage” as well as Coho fishing during Coho-Rama and deer hunting in Winter, WI. His times spent in Las Vegas and other area casinos were always a highlight.

An avid Wisconsin sports team fan, he had a special passion for the Brewers and Packers.  He and Ardeth were lucky enough to have cheered on the Badgers in the 2012 Rose Bowl.

Survivors include his wife, Ardeth; two children, Ronald G. (Linda) Beguhn Jr., and Cindy (Daniel) Riley-Grice; his five grandchildren, Johnette (Earl) Robinson, Kelly (Randy) Czarnecki, Jason (Kim) Beguhn, Sarah (Dan) Robinson, and Matthew Riley; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; four step grandchildren, and his sister, Elaine (Gerald) Sundly.

Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a brother David, his son-in-law, Dr. Daniel Riley, and his loving and devoted canine companion, Ernie, with whom he regularly walked the neighborhood.

April 3, 2025

I wanted to personally thank the Draeger – Langendorf Family for the wonderful support and work they provided during my families time of grief when my sister Vanessa Davis Perry passed away in August of 2021. I also would like to thank Leslie Scales who personally assisted with the details of the service & worked with my family for it to turn out as planned.
