
Robert A. Sauder Sr., 56, passed away in Augusta, GA, following heart surgery, on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born in Racine on May 13, 1956, the son of Elmer and Lucille (nee: Wahl) Sauder.
Robert had been involved with the television industry his entire career. After attending UW-Plattville and M.A.T.C., Robert entered his dream career when he started working at the television station in Wausau. He moved on to stations in Colorado, Kenosha, CNN, and for the past 16 years he has been at WAGT TV in Augusta, GA, most recently as the Media Content Manager. Early in his life he was a member of St. Sebastian Church and the 4-H.
Surviving are his son, Robert A. Sauder Jr.; parents, Elmer and Lucille Sauder, of Sturtevant;brother, Scott (Carol) Sauder, of Raymond; sisters, Marge Sauder-Mehring, of Sturtevant, and Cindi (Dave) Leger, of Mt. Pleasant. Robert is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 3126-95thSt. Sturtevant, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17th, with Rev. Paul L. Raczynski. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation.
